Smoker pellets are compact fuel sources designed for bee smokers, helping beekeepers produce a steady, cool smoke to calm their bees during hive inspections.
These pellets are made from natural, organic materials—often medicinal herbs—that burn slowly and consistently, creating a mild, pleasant-smelling smoke.
Unlike loose fuels like pine needles or burlap, smoker pellets offer a controlled burn, lasting around 15 to 20 minutes per pellet.
The smoke encourages bees to move away from areas where beekeepers need to work, making hive management smoother and safer.

USE:

– Place a small amount of crumpled paper or dry twigs at the bottom of the smoker and light it.
– Add smoker pellets – Once the kindling is burning well, add a few smoker pellets on top. Puff the bellows gently to keep the fire going.
– Maintain the smoke – Keep puffing the bellows to ensure a steady stream of cool, white smoke. If the smoke starts to thin out, add more pellets as needed.
– Use the smoker – Direct gentle puffs of smoke at the hive entrance and around the frames to calm the bees before working with them.
– Extinguish safely – When finished, close the lid and let the pellets burn out, or dump the remaining fuel into a safe, fireproof container.
